Amran Zamzami

Amran Zamzami (10 Januari 1929 – 12 Desember 2005) adalah seorang atlet bridge Indonesia yang berasal dari Desa Kutoabuloh, Kecamatan Meukek,Aceh Selatan.[1] Beliau adalah anak ke lima dari 10 bersaudara.

Riwayat Hidup

Pada tahun 1942 Beliau memasuki bangku sekolah dasar ( SD ),tahun 1950 memasuki sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) di Aceh, pada tahun 1953 Beliau melanjutkan sekolah menegah atas (SMA) di Jakarta. Setelah lulus SMA Beliau melanjutkan kuliah di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia tidak sampai di situ. Beliau melanjutkan pendidikan di Australia pada tahun 1956 - 1961.

Saat kecil Ia bercita - cita menjadi admiral. Oleh karena itu, pada umur 14 tahun ia masuk Kaigun Angkatan Laut Jepang. Pada tahun 1947, beliau bergabung dalam Tentara Pelajar Resimen II Aceh dengan pangkat letnan satu. Mulai dari situlah Beliau mengenal bridge. Saat melanjutkan sekolah di Jakarta pada awal tahun 1950, Ia memiliki kesempatan bermain bridge. Pada saat Beliau melanjutkan pendidikan di Universitas New South Wales di Sydney, Beliau bergabung di klub bridge Australia. Kemudian, setelah pulang ke tanah air Ia tetap meneruskan olahraga bermain kartu. Pada tahun 1970, Ia menjadi ketua panitia penyelenggaran Kejuaran Timur jauh ke-14 di Jakarta dan beliau juga sebagai pembina utama tim Indonesia. Pada tahun 1985 bersama Bob Hasan dan Tahir Djide ia menerima penghargaan pemerintah RI sebagai Pembina Olahraga terbaik.

Beliau wafat di Jakarta pada 12 Desember 2005 dan dimakamkan di Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata Jakarta Selatan.

Kehidupan Pribadi

Beliau menikah dengan Cut Farsiah pada tahun 1961 dan dikaruniai tiga anak perempuan. Beliau berkata "Biar tidak mendapat bintang di pundak, saya punya bintang di sini" yang mana tau bahwa tidak semua perjuangan mendapat bintang.
