Amanda Abbington (lahir Amanda Jane Smith; februari 1974)[2] adalah seorang aktris Inggris. Paling dikenal sebagai Miss Mardle di Mr Selfridge dan Mary Morstan di adaptasi BBC Sherlock.

Karier

Dia muncul dalam serial TV The Bill sampai tahun 2007 menjadi berbagai karakter. Selama waktu itu ia juga muncul dalam serial TV Wycliffe, Casualty, Dream Team, The Sins, Shades, Doc Martin, Coupling, dan Teachers. Dia muncul pada tahun 2005 dalam sketsa komedi show Man Stroke Woman dan film komedi 2007-2008 komedi After You've Gone dengan Nicholas Lyndhurst. Dia juga muncul dalam serial seperti Bernard's Watch dan Case Histories.

Pada tahun 2013, ia muncul dalam serial televisi Mr Selfridge sebagai Miss Mardle bersama Jeremy Piven dan Frances O'Connor. Pada tahun 2014, Abbington muncul di musim ketiga Sherlock sebagai Mary Morstan, istri John Watson, yang dimainkan oleh pasangannya di kehidupan nyata, Martin Freeman.[3][4] Pada tahun 2015 dia muncul di drama BBC Manset.

Kehidupan pribadi

Abbington adalah pasangan dari aktor Inggris Martin Freeman, yang dia temui di set film Men Only pada tahun 2000.
