Amanullah Khan (Pashto: أمان الله خان, Dari: أمان الله خان, Juni 1892 – 25 April 1960) adalah penguasa berdaulat Kerajaan Afghanistan dari 1919 sampai 1929, pertama sebagai Emir dan setelah 1926 sebagai Malik (Raja).[2] Ia memimpin Afghanistan sampai merdeka terhadap urusan luar negerinya dari Britania Raya, dan kekuasaannya ditandai dengan perubahan politik dan sosial yang dramatis. Ia adalah penguasa Afghanistan pertama yang berupaya untuk memodernisasikan Afghanistan pada rancangan Barat. Namun, ia tidak berhasil dalam hal ini karena kebangkitan Habibullah Kalakani dan para pengikutnya. Pada 14 Januari 1929, Amanullah diabdikasikan dan pergi ke negara tetangga India Britania sementara Afghanistan jatuh dalam sebuah perang saudara. Dari India Britania, ia pergi ke Eropa di mana ia meninggal di Zürich, Switzerland, pada 1960.

Amānullāh pergi ke Eropa pada 1927. Pada waktu itu, Raja dan Ratu yang Jermanofilia tersebut datang ke Jerman untuk mengunjungi Berlin dan Presiden Paul von Hindenburg pada Februari 1928, mereka bertemu, dalam perjalanan, dengan Raja Fawad dari Mesir di Kairo; Raja Victor-Emanuel III dari Italia bersama dengan Perdana Menterinya, Benito Mussolini; Paus Pius XI di Kota Vatikan; President Doumergue dari Prancis; dan Raja Albert I dan Ratu Elisabeth dari Belgia. Kematian

Mausoleum Amanullah Khan di Jalalabad

Amanullah Khan meninggal di Zurich, Switzerland, pada 1960. Jenazahnya dibawa ke Afghanistan dan dimakamkan di timur kota Jalalabad.
