Syaikh Ali Ahmad bin Abdurrahman Mulla (lahir 5 Juli 1945) adalah muazin di Masjidilharam, Makkah, Arab Saudi. Ali Ahmad Mulla adalah muazin terlama untuk Masjidilharam dan telah mengikuti tradisi keluarganya dalam profesi ini selama lebih dari 3 dasawarsa.[3][4][5]

Ia secara luas dikenal di seluruh dunia Muslim dari rekaman azannya yang banyak diperdengarkan oleh umat Islam dan non-Muslim di seluruh dunia melalui radio, TV, CD, kaset, dan bentuk media lainnya. Syaikh Ali Mulla juga telah menyatakan bahwa pekerjaan utamanya selain muazin di Masjidilharam adalah sebagai pengusaha bisnis miliknya sendiri.

Kehidupan awal

Ia terlahir dari seorang ayah yang bernama Abdurrahman Mulla, yang merupakan seorang muazin Masjidilharam. Syaikh Ali Mulla mulai menjadi muazin di Masjidilharam sejak usia 14 tahun dan telah melakoni kariernya selama 60 tahun. Ali Ahmad Mulla ditunjuk secara resmi menjadi muazin Masjidilharam pada tahun 1975 oleh pihak Kerajaan. Syaikh Ali Ahmad Mulla telah mengumandangkan azan di Masjidilharam sebelum pengeras suara belum digunakan, dan pada masa menara-menara Masjidilharam masih digunakan untuk azan.[5][6]

Putranya, Syaikh Atef bin Ali Ahmad Mulla, menjadi muazin sejak 4 April 2022.[7]

Warisan

Di Indonesia, rekaman azan Syaikh Ali Ahmad Mulla saat ini digunakan pada stasiun TV RCTI--(10-Jul-2013--02-Apr-2022), Elshinta--(24-Agu-2005--120-Jul-2012)--220-Jul-2014-- dan GTV--(01-Agu-2011--) pada waktu Maghrib. Sebelumnya, rekaman adzan ini pernah digunakan oleh tvOne (saat masih bernama Lativi)-(30-Jul-2002--09-Jul-2013) dan MetroTV--(01-Sep-2008--23-Apr-2020) Trans-7-Backsound-(Bllarayinanaum)-(17-Mei-2016--Selamanya) pada era 2000-an
