Akiko Seki (Jepang: 関鑑子) (Tokyo, 8 September 1899 - Tokyo, 2 Mei 1973) adalah seorang penyanyi soprano berkebangsaan Jepang. Dia lebih sering dikenal sebagai pendiri gerakan Suara Nyanyian Jepang (Jepang: 日本のうたごえ, Nihon no Utagoe / うたごえ運動, Utagoe-undō). Pada tahun 1955 beliau dianugerahi Penghargaan Perdamaian Stalin.

Kehidupan

  • Maret 1921: Dia lulus dalam jurusan seni bernyanyi di Sekolah Musik Tokyo (Jepang: 東京音楽学校,Tōkyō Ongaku Gakkō).[1]
  • 1 Mei 1946: Pada peringatan Hari Buruh pertama pasca-perang di Tokyo, dia mengaba l'internationale dan versi Jepang dari lagu Red Flag; pengalaman ini membawanya untuk mendirikan gerakan musik kelas pekerja nasional.[2]
  • 10 Februari 1948: Dia menciptakan Paduan Suara Liga Pemuda Komunis Jepang (Jepang: 日本青年共産同盟 中央合唱団, Nihon-seinen-kyōsan-dōmei Chuō-gassyōdan) di Tokyo, sebagai inti gerakan dari gerakan musik kelas pekerja nasional.
  • 20 Desember 1955: Ia dianugerahi Penghargaan Perdamaian Stalin.
