Akademi Sinematografi

Akademi Sinematografi adalah tempat pendidikan akademis di bidang film dan sekaligus merupakan lokakarya bagi mahasiswa-mahasiswa tahun terakhir dan orang-orang film dari luar akademi.[1] Kampus Akademi Sinematografi berada di kompleks Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Menteng, Jakarta Pusat.[1]

Sejarah

Pada tahun 1948 di Notoprajan Jogja, pernah didirikan lembaga pendidikan film bernama Cine Drama Institute.[2] Sekolah ini didirikan oleh Kementerian Penerangan Pemerintah Republik semasa Agresi Militer Belanda II.[2] Setahun kemudian, yaitu pada tahun 1949,di Jogja juga didirikan Stichting Hiburan Mataram yang menelorkan Kino Drama Atilier.Tokoh yang namanya melekat pada dua lembaga ini adalah Dr. Huyung.[2] Kemudian, pada tahun 1951 didirikan Akademi Seni Drama dan Film(ASDRAFI) yang sempat melahirkan Teguh Karya, Arifin C. Noer, Putu Wijaya,dll.[2] Salah satu sineas Indonesia lulusan dari Cine Drama Institute adalah Soemarjono.[2] Kemudian ia malang melintang di dunia perfilman Indonesia bersama dengan Usmar Ismail, Asrul Sani, Djadug Djajakusuma, Sjumandjaja, dan generasi founding fathers perfilman Indonesia lainnya.[2] Soemarjono kemudian tercatat juga sebagai salah satu perintis Akademi Sinematografi LPKJ Jakarta.[2] Didirikan di Jakarta oleh Lembaga Pendidikan Kesenian Jakarta (LPKJ) pada tahun 1970 dengan bantuan Pemerintah Daerah Khusus Ibu kota Jakarta.[2]
