Curug Sidomba adalah objek wisata yang terletak di kaki gunung Ciremai, berlokasi di desa Peusing kecamatan Jalaksana yang dapat ditempuh sekitar 30 menit dari kota Kuningan. Curug Sidomba termasuk salah satu air terjun unik, simpel, dan cocok dinikmati untuk liburan bersama keluarga atau teman. Awal mula curug ini ditemukan secara tidak sengaja pada tahun 2002 oleh beberapa siswa SMP Islam Terpadu Umar Sjarifudin (ITUS) Kuningan yang sedang mendaki gunung menyusuri sungai di lereng Gunung Ciremai dan mereka menemukan curug tersebut. Curug sidomba berada di sungai yang jalurnya tepat mengalir di daerah ini, airnya cukup jernih, dingin dan segar bersumber dari mata air gunung Ciremai, sungai Curug Sidomba dibendung dan terdapat berbagai macam ikan, seperti ikan mas, dan ikan ‘Kancra Bodas’


Etimologi

'Curug' diambil dari bahasa Sunda yang berarti air terjun, dan 'Sidomba' dari nama binatang domba atau kambing karena di daerah ini banyak terdapat domba yang memiliki tanduk lebih dari dua. Air terjun curug Sidomba memiliki ketinggian 3 meter. Curug ini merupakan salah satu curug buatan di sungai yang jalurnya tepat mengalir di daerah ini, airnya cukup jernih, dingin dan segar bersumber dari mata air gunung Ciremai, sungai Curug Sidomba dibendung dan terdapat berbagai macam ikan, seperti ikan mas, dan ikan 'Kancra Bodas'.

Fasilitas

Seperti layaknya daerah wisata yang lain, Selain keindahan Curug Sidomba disini juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas penunjang wisata lainnya demi memberikan kenyamanan kepada pengunjung, di antaranya: saung (Gazebo), Kantin, Kolam Renang, Flyngfox (Outbound), Mobil Domba, Kereta Mini, Motor ATV, Karaoke Out Dor, Karaoke Box, Kolam Pancing Anak, Gedung Serbaguna, Live music, Koleksi Hewan dan arena bermain anak, di area ini juga tersedia camping ground yang banyak digunakan oleh sekolah - sekolah untuk mengadakan perkemahan di objek wisata ini, di lokasi ini terdapat Masjid megah dengan satu menara ASMA’UL HUSNA, untuk menuju menara melaui tangga dengan jumlah 99 anak tangga. Dari atas menara, anda dapat melihat keindahan alam kaki Gunung Ciremai yang sebagian wilayah masih rindang dengan pohon - pohon besar.

Aksesibilitas

Wana wisata ini dapat dicapai dari Kota Cirebon dan Kota Kuningan. Kondisi jalan umumnya beraspal dan baik, dapat dilalui kendaraan roda dua dan empat, dengan jarak rute perjalanan sebagai berikut:

  1. Cirebon – Curug Sidomba ± 25 Km.
  2. Kuningan – Curug Sidomba ± 18 Km.
