Moutatthu Gopalakrishnan Unnithan (kelahiran 3 Juli 1941), yang umumnya dikenal sebagai Adoor Gopalakrishnan adalah seorang sutradara, penulis naskah dan produser film India. Adoor Gopalakrishnan memainkan peran utama dalam merevolusi sinema Malayalam dan dianggap sebagai salah satu pembuat film paling handal di India.[1] Film pertama Adoor Swayamvaram (1972) mempelopori gerakan sinema arus baru di Kerala. Kebanyakan filmnya dibawa ke festival-festival di seluruh dunia, dan dirilis di Kerala. Sebelas film yang ia sutradarai, dari Swayamvaram sampai Oru Pennum Randaanum (2008), ditayangkan di beberapa festival film internasional dan membuatnya memenangkan penghargaan nasional dan internasional. Ia memenangkan Penghargaan Film Nasional sebanyak enam belas kali, Penghargaan Film Negara Bagian Kerala sebanyak tujuh belas kali dan juga memenangkan beberapa penghargaan film internasional. Ia memenangkan penghargaan Institut Film Britania untuk Elippathayam (1981). Adoor mendapatkan Padma Shri pada 1984 dan Padma Vibhushan pada 2006. Negara menghargai Adoor atas jasa-jasa ternilainya pada sinema India dengan memberikannya penghargaan sinema tertinggi di India, Penghargaan Dadasaheb Phalke pada tahun 2004.[2]
