Adenylyl cyclase 10 juga dikenal sebagai ADCY10 adalah enzim yang, pada manusia, dikodekan oleh gen ADCY10.[4]
Fungsi
Protein yang dikodekan oleh gen ini termasuk adenylyl cyclase yang ditemui pada beberapa mamalia. Protein ini larut dan tidak sensitif terhadap regulasi G protein atau forskolin. Protein ini terlokalisasi di sitoplasma dan dianggap berfungsi sebagai sensor bikarbonat umum di seluruh tubuh. Protein ini juga memainkan peran penting dalam pembentukan cAMP di spermatozoa. Sehingga kemungkinan berperan dalam pematangan sperma melalui epididimis, kapasitasi, hipermotilitas, atau reaksi akrosom.[5]
Signifikasi klinis
Mutasi pada gen ADCY10 berhubungan dengan peningkatan risiko adsorpsi hypercalciuria.[4]
