2A46 (meriam tank 125 mm)

2A46 (juga disebut D-81TM) adalah meriam tank smoothbore 125 mm/L48 asal Soviet yang digunakan di beberapa tank tempur utama. Ini dirancang oleh OKB-9 (Pabrik Artileri No. 9) di Yekaterinburg.

Meriam tank ini dikembangkan oleh Biro Desain Spetstekhnika di Ekaterinburg pada tahun 1960an awalnya untuk tank T-64. Mereka kemudian diproduksi di Pabrik Artileri No. 9 di Ekaterinburg dan Motovilikha di Perm. Variasi lainnya termasuk 2A46M, 2A46M-1, 2A46M-2, 2A46M-4, 2A46M-5, dan KBA-3 Ukraina dan ZPT-98 Tiongkok.[1][2]

2A46 dapat menembakkan sabot penusuk lapis baja penusuk lapis baja (APFSDS), anti-tank berdaya ledak tinggi (HEAT) dan proyektil fragmentasi berdaya ledak tinggi (HEF). Amunisi untuk senjata 2A46 ada dalam dua bagian: proyektil dimuat terlebih dahulu, diikuti dengan muatan propelan terpisah.

Versi awal 2A46 memiliki umur laras yang relatif pendek, tetapi hal ini diperbaiki pada versi 2A46M-1. Tergantung pada versinya, ia menawarkan tekanan ruang P max 510,00 MPa (73,969 psi) atau dari 2A46M-1 650,00 MPa (94,275 psi).

Senjata KBA-3 Ukraina didasarkan pada senjata 2A46. Selain itu, ZPT-98 Tiongkok didasarkan pada 2A46M yang diimpor dari T-72 atau T-80 Rusia.
